Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,

As we approach the end of Term 2, I would like to remind families that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June. Appointments are available between 3:30pm and 6:30pm, and families can book a 10-minute conversation with their child's teacher. I strongly encourage all parents and carers to take advantage of this opportunity to discuss their child's performance and growth in literacy and numeracy throughout Semester 1. These conferences provide an important opportunity to unpack your child's Semester 1 report, celebrate successes, and discuss next steps for learning.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Hoyer, Ms. Spurrell, Mr. Harrison, Mr. Alidina, Ms. Carol and Ms. Cam for providing our Year 5 and 6 students with an exceptional camp experience. Opportunities such as these are only possible because of the dedication and generosity of staff who volunteer their time to support our students beyond the classroom. Despite the rainy weather, the feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive. Students thoroughly enjoyed participating in the adventure activities. Camps provide invaluable opportunities for students to build resilience, independence, teamwork, and lasting memories.

I would also like to inform the school community that I will be on leave during Weeks 9 and 10 as I travel to America with my family. During this time, Mr. Squires will be Acting Principal. I am confident that the school will continue to operate smoothly under his leadership and thank him for taking on this role. As this will be my final newsletter article for the term, I would like to wish all students, families and staff a safe, restful and enjoyable Term 2 break. Thank you for your continued support throughout the semester. I look forward to seeing everyone back on the first day of Term 3.
