Walk to school - Friday 22nd May

Gallery Image

This provides a wonderful opportunity for our Willy Kids and families to promote healthy habits, road safety awareness and active travel.

We encourage students and families, where possible, to walk, ride or scoot to school safely on the day. Even parking a little further away from school and walking the final part of the journey can make a positive difference.

Walk Safely to School Day is a great reminder of the importance of:

  • being active each day
  • developing safe road crossing habits
  • reducing traffic congestion around schools
  • supporting student wellbeing and independence

As always, we ask all members of our community to continue modelling safe behaviours around our crossings, driveways and surrounding streets, particularly during busy drop-off and pick-up times.

We look forward to seeing plenty of Willy Kids travelling actively and safely to school next Friday!

Teeth on Wheels

This is a friendly reminder that Teeth On Wheels will be visiting our school for dental check-ups starting on June 1st 2026.

Early dental visits are crucial for your child’s long-term oral health. At this visit, Teeth On Wheels will help identify and address common dental concerns, such as:

  1. Thumb-sucking– which can affect tooth development.

  2. Teeth eruption– ensuring teeth are coming through correctly.

  3. Bite issues– preventing misalignments that may cause future problems.

  4. Hypoplasia– weakened tooth enamel that can lead to decay.

  5. Decay and cavities – catching early signs before they develop into bigger issues.

  6. Deep grooves and pits– which can trap food and bacteria, increasing the risk of decay.

  7. Gum infections– preventing long-term damage to gums and surrounding tissue.
