Prep Ice Breaker and Family Fiesta - Thank You

It is lovely each year to welcome new families to our school community.  Thank you to the Parents’ Association and our Year 1 parents for organising the Prep Ice Breaker again this year.  We look forward to working with our new families for many years to come.

Thank you also to the Parents' Association for organising the Family Fiesta which will be held Sunday 15th March (this weekend).  It is a wonderful opportunity for you to get to know each other and bring our community together.

NAPLAN 2026

NAPLAN is being held in March again this year.  Our Year 3 and Year 5 students are completing the tests this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Students will complete four assessments - Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Numeracy.  The students in Year 3 will complete their Writing assessment on paper, all other tests for both Year 3 and Year 5 will be completed online.

Parents will receive individual student reports later in the year.

Student Leadership Assembly

We are hoping to hold our Leadership Assembly before the end of term.  Unfortunately there has been a hold up with some of the badges this year.   At the assembly we will present leadership badges to our 2026 Year 6 student leaders, to our 2026 JSC members and our 2026 Eco Warriers.

We will keep parents updated as we get more information.

Parents are welcome to attend to join in the celebrations with their child.

Traffic Safety

Parents are reminded that there are strict parking restrictions around the school and these will be enforced by Stonnington Council.  It is suggested that parents walk to and from school with their children or park a little further away and walk down to the school, this will help to reduce the congestion around the school.

The two ’Kiss and Go’ areas are still in place along Tooronga Road.  Parents are reminded that they cannot leave their car if they pull up in these areas.  These are 'no parking zones' from 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm, which covers both the drop off and pick up times.

If you wish to walk your child to the school gate or classroom, or pick your child up from their classroom please do not use the ‘Kiss and Go’ areas.

Whilst we understand these arrangements are not always convenient, we thank you for your support and cooperation with this as it helps to reduce congestion along Tooronga Rd.

Students Arriving Late

Parents are reminded that if their child arrives to school after 9.05 that they must be signed in at the office.

Parents cannot drop their children off at the gate, they must accompany them into the office to sign them in - our children are too young to sign themselves in.

We acknowledge that this may be inconvenient for some families, however it is for the safety of the children that we require the parent to accompany them into school.
