Senior Campus News

A big thank you to all our parents and carers for your time, support, and commitment during our recent SSG Day. It was wonderful to welcome families into the school and work together to celebrate student achievements, reflect on progress, and set meaningful goals for the term ahead. SSG (Student Support Group) meetings are such an important part of strengthening the partnership between home and school. These conversations ensure that every student’s needs are understood and supported, and they highlight just how far our students have come. We deeply appreciate your input and the positive energy you brought to the day.
Another highlight this fortnight has been the launch of our student-led school canteen, now open every Wednesday at lunchtime. This exciting initiative came directly from student voice, with students working hard behind the scenes to plan, organise, and run the canteen. Students are able to purchase weekly specials using PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) dollars, which they earn for demonstrating our core school values: being safe, being respectful, and being a learner.
It’s been fantastic to see students working together as a team, showing leadership and initiative. A big thank you as well to the staff involved in supporting this project and helping the canteen run smoothly each week. This is a great example of how student ideas, supported by staff, can shape real change within our school community.
We’re also counting down the days to Book Week next week. It’s always a favourite on the school calendar. We can’t wait to see students and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters and taking part in fun and engaging literacy activities around the school. Stay tuned for more details. It’s going to be a fantastic week of reading, creativity, and celebration!
