Welcome to Term 3. We are excited to begin a big, action-packed 10-week term filled with engaging learning, hands-on experiences and plenty of opportunities for students to grow, challenge themselves and have fun along the way.

A highlight this term is our rescheduled excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary, which was postponed last term due to weather. Students will enjoy an unforgettable experience connecting their learning with Australia’s unique wildlife in a real-world setting.

In English, students will dive into exciting texts, exploring rich vocabulary, powerful author techniques and different text types including narratives, information texts and persuasive writing. They will also strengthen their writing by crafting engaging sentences and building confidence with grammar and spelling patterns.

In Mathematics, students will explore everything from number patterns and algorithms to fractions, decimals and measurement. They will also investigate angles and discover how coordinates and transformations are used to create and move shapes on a grid.

In Inquiry, students will explore how Australia’s political system reflects and promotes democracy, connecting their learning to real-world ideas about leadership, decision-making and fairness in society.

Alongside these subjects, students will participate in Interrelate sessions, Friendology lessons, and CyberSafety learning focused on empathy and respectful online behaviour. Our Stand-Up Project Leaders will also continue to build leadership skills by running sessions for younger students.

We are looking forward to a fantastic term ahead, full of energy, curiosity and memorable learning experiences.
