2026 Snowsport Championships!

The sun was shining, the mountains were snowy, and the vibes were definitely on at Mt Buller for the2026 Snowsport Championships!

Seven incredible Gardenvale Primary School skiers took to the slopes and made our school proud with their enthusiasm, determination and sporting spirit.

A huge Well Done to:

Gus S, Liam J, Noah B, Luca B, Jack P, Lleyton M and Ryder M.

We’re so proud of all of you and hope you had an amazing time on the mountain!

A special thank you also goes to Team Manager, Marcel Berger for bringing everyone together, organising the team and making sure they looked the part in their awesome team hoodies!

And finally, we’re excited to share a special memory from Gus about his experience at Mt Buller. 

The 2026 Gardenvale Victorian Interschool Snowsports Championship was my last year ever doing Interschools for GPS. My first ever Interschools race was right here at Gardenvale in Year 1. I followed my brother Noah’s footsteps as he was the first ever kid to race Interschools at GPS. When I raced for Gardenvale I always felt proud about what I was doing and that I had the privilege to do something that not many other people could do. And I really hope that my fellow Interschool buddies feel the same way too. When I raced for this school, I always got struck with a bit of excitement and energy that I was racing against other schools, and that Gardenvale Primary School was a school that people saw not just for its academic abilities, but also for its bravery to stand up to other schools and compete against them. Even though we never came 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the races. I think GPS came 1st, 2nd and 3rd and all of the above for our spirit, bravery and excitement towards racing. So, good job Gardenvale Primary School, and keep skiing with the GPS spirit!
