Term 2 Healthy lifestyles initiative
Do you remember taking part in your Primary school days, who can do the criss cross or even a double criss cross.
Students have been exploring healthy living and positive lifestyle choices in their Personal Development and Health lessons, and we’re excited to extend this learning by taking part in the annual Jump Rope for Heart program. Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term at St Margaret Mary’s, with students skipping throughout the term during their sport lessons and lunch breaks.
As the Heart Foundation’s primary school skipping challenge, the program encourages children to get active, have fun, and support life‑saving heart research. Our school will partake in a Jump Off Day which will be held in Week 11, giving students, and parents, a chance to come together, celebrate their progress, and show off their new or old skills.
While the school is not officially fundraising for this event, families who wish to support this wonderful cause are welcome to register online using the link provided. It’s easy just follow this link and enter your details at www.jumprope.org.au/parents. If you do choose to register please let us know and we would be happy to encourage and celebrate with you.
