We hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are ready for another busy and exciting term.

Someone who did enjoy the holidays was Charlie in 2S as he was the winner of the C+M Residential Easter colouring in competition🥳👏 As you can see from his smile, he was pretty happy with his prize!

Even better, Charlie’s win means Team Westbreen also received $1000 🎉 A HUGE thank you to C+M Residential for their generosity and ongoing support of our school and local community.
Angelina from C+M Residential has shared that they’ll be running a special Mother’s Day competition, with a $200 voucher to Alba Springs up for grabs! 🌸
More details will be coming soon in our newsletter, as well as on the C+M Residential website and social media pages.
Atika, Rhoda and I are excited for the return of Family Time next week! We’ll now be using the Specialist Building, giving us plenty more space than the library to spread out and enjoy our activities. Keep an eye on next week’s newsletter to see what Atika and Rhoda have planned! Look forward to seeing you all then.
Thank you to the families that have donated Lego to Family Time, it's greatly appreciated. We are still happy to receive more if anyway has any to spare.
The Westbreen community want to take this opportunity to thank Ms Zoe very much for doing such a wonderful job coordinating the Breakfast Club over the past 12 months, supplying rumbling tummies with delicious food to start their days 😊 Unfortunately she is having to step away from this role due to other work commitments. As a result of this we are looking for a member of our community who might be willing to take on this role. If you have a child at school that likes to come to Breakfast Club then it may be an opportunity to share some of their school journey with them, we all know how much children love to have their parent spend time at their school.
The days could be negotiated to suit you, however the hours are approximately 7.45-9.00am, 3 days per week. Duties include setting up, preparing the staple foods eg toast, cereals, flavoured milk etc and then other times a special of the day may include pancakes, crumpets, avo toast, sausages on toast, cheese toasties or whatever you like depending on how creative you want to get! 😊 I am happy to do the ordering of food through the organisations that are on board and Ms Bridget is happy to do the ordering of any extra items. I can also take over the admin tasks to make it easier as well, and of course our superstar ES ladies will be there to support you in the mornings and helping feed the hungry mob!
If this is something that you might be interested in or you have some further questions, please reach out. It would be great if we can get someone on board asap. If there is someone you can think of that you could share the role with then we are also open to unpacking that further.
A Working With Children Check would be required to perform this role.
I hope to hear from you soon
Ms Georgie
Miss Bridget is still looking for volunteers to help share the load of providing lunch and snacks for our community
Volunteers will need to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) card and complete a 5-minute Induction Session with me before starting in the canteen. I am also more than happy to help you obtain your WWCC card if you need help. Go to Working with Children Check to apply for your WWCC card.
If you are interested in helping on 1, 2, or all 3 days the canteen is open, please contact me via Kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au or call on 03 9306 9481.

Another of our valued local community supporters, Ray White Pascoe Vale, is running a colouring competition open to our students and families until Friday 24th April! 🎨
There are two age categories (4–8 and 9–12), with an iPad up for grabs in each category!
If you can’t print at home, students can collect a colouring page from Miss Kerry or the office. Please make sure all details are completed on the back.
All entries must be returned to Miss Kerry or the office by the end of the school day on Friday. Happy colouring...
