Victorian Surf Tag Team Title

Thursday May 2nd was the Victorian Surf Tag Team Title, held at Phillip Island.

Nine of Surf Coast Secondary Colleges best surfers represented the school in a tag team style competition, which saw each surfer have roughly 8 minutes to  catch 2 waves then sprint up the beach to tag their team mate.

Our students put on an amazing performance in challenging conditions at 4 foot Woolamai, with a strong rip running, making it difficult to hold position in the line up. All surfers got great waves and came away with a second in both the girls team and mixed team events, only pipped by a couple of points for first over a strong team from Dromana.

Well done to all surfers on a great day out!

Senior Tennis

Hazel K (Year 9), Alessio P (Year 12) Gus M (Year 12, Captain), Liam P (Year 9), Vander W (Year 12) and Tyson S (Year 11).

The team had a dominant day not losing a set between them from all 5 matches they played.

Next round will be on May 8th in the western metro finals.

WMR Swim Team

On Friday 1st March, 28 SCSC students attended the Geelong Division Swimming at Kardinia pool. All students swam exceptionally well with our Junior Girls (13/14 y.o) taking out the winning pennant for best performance over the day. A special mention to Skye L of year 7 (7 events) and Kyana J of year 12 (6 events) who have qualified for multiple events at the Western Metro Region on Wednesday the 27th March.
