Chess Club Simul

On Monday 27th July, International Master Leonid Sandler returned to Mordialloc College for the Term 3 simultaneous exhibition match. More than thirty students from across a range of year levels and with varied chess experience attended this term's simul, with participants taking turns to challenge Leonid while classmates gathered to watch, cheer them on and offer advice. Playing the white pieces on every board, Leonid moved calmly from game to game, making his decisions with admirable speed and precision. By the final bell, however, Leonid's record remained unblemished. 

Chess Club meets every Monday lunchtime in LC 5. Students of all experience levels are welcome. Whether you're learning the basics, looking for your next challenge or seeking a sanctuary to dodge the cold, come along and join us for a game!
