TEAM VIC TEAMS
Massive shoutout to Isabella A (6RM), who has successfully made the Team Vic 12 Years & Under Girls Australian Football team! She will now represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships, taking place in Canberra from Sunday 2nd August to Sunday 9th August 2026.
This is an incredible achievement, especially considering Isabella progressed through a rigorous, multi-stage trial process - a true testament not only to her talent but also to her unwavering grit and determination.
We are so proud of you, Isabella! You consistently turn heads with your incredible performances on the field, and we know you'll do the same at the national championships. Congratulations, and best of luck! 💪🏼
SSV STATE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Arlo C (6LB) for his outstanding performance at last week’s SSV State Primary Cross Country Championships. Arlo finished an incredible 47th, storming home to pass more than 10 runners on the final straight and crossing the line in a blistering time of 11:50.
The entire Greenhills community is immensely proud of Arlo’s achievement - not only on the day of the event but throughout the journey that led him there, which included successfully qualifying through three previous stages of competition.
Well done, Arlo! 💪🏼
COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to Sarah B (5KJ) on being awarded a scholarship towards the Empoli Football Academy Future Girls Tour in Italy next year, following a highly competitive Talent ID Camp!
Sarah's outstanding technical ability, football IQ, and dedication earned her this exciting opportunity. The entire Greenhills community wishes you all the very best.
Well done, Sarah! 💪🏼
Congratulations to Amiya K (34S) on an outstanding performance at her first AGC Juniors' Gymnastics Competition.
Amiya had an outstanding day, placing in 3 of the 4 individual apparatus events and proudly helping her squad secure 🥇 1st Place in the Team Competition! With two more competitions coming up in August and September, we’re excited to see what she accomplishes next.
Well done, Amiya! 💪🏼
Congratulations to Perry S (34J) on being crowned the Under 9s Club Champion at his swimming club’s recent Presentation Night!
Perry was recognised for an outstanding 2025–26 season, receiving the Club Champion trophy as well as certificates celebrating his achievements across 19 swimming competitions and race meets over the past 12 months.
This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to Perry's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the sport.
Well done, Perry! 💪🏼
If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.
Thank you,
Jordan Daley
LUNCH CLUBS
At Greenhills, supporting student wellbeing is a priority. To help provide a range of positive lunchtime options, our Grade 5/6 student leaders run a variety of lunchtime clubs for younger students. These clubs offer an alternative to playing in the yard and are a great way for students to connect with others, explore interests and enjoy a quieter lunchtime activity.
All clubs run during the first half of lunchtime and are fully supervised by a staff member on yard duty.
If your child sometimes finds lunchtime overwhelming, you may wish to encourage them to attend a club that matches their interests.
Lunchtime Club Timetable
Day | Club | Location |
| Monday (1st half of lunch) | STEAM Club | STEAM Room |
| Tuesday (1st half of lunch) | Library Club | Library |
| Wednesday (1st half of lunch) | Performing Arts Club | Library |
| Thursday (1st half of lunch) | Art Club | Library |
| Friday (1st half of lunch) | Sport Club (different year levels involved each week) | Djila Djerring (Hall) |
| Friday (1st half of lunch) | Hang Out Club | Library |
In addition, the portable building opposite the Italian Room is open every day during the second half of lunch as a Quiet Space. Students are welcome to use this area to read, draw, colour or simply enjoy a calm environment if they are finding the yard overwhelming. The Quiet Space is also supervised by a staff member on yard duty. We encourage students to make use of these opportunities to help them feel safe, supported and connected during lunchtime.
