Football 

Golden Square Primary School proudly celebrated an outstanding day at the District AFL Championships, with both the boys and girls teams demonstrating excellent skill, teamwork and sportsmanship while living the school values of Safety, Respect and Learning.

The boys team showed great resilience throughout the tournament, recovering from a narrow opening loss to win three consecutive matches. Strong team performances against Camp Hill, Big Hill and St Joseph's saw Golden Square finish second in their group. Finn, Jensen, Oscar, Riley, Rouan, Liam D and Noah S all contributed on the scoreboard, while every player played their role in the team's success.

The girls team enjoyed a remarkable undefeated campaign, winning all five pool matches before defeating St Joseph's 3.2.20 to 0.0.0 in the Grand Final to be crowned District Champions. Across six games they scored an incredible 23.17 (155) while conceding just 1.1 (7). Eliza, Summer, Nikki, Paige, Lucia, Lola and Jayla were among the goal scorers during the day.

Most importantly, all students represented Golden Square with pride. They played safely, showed respect towards teammates, opponents, and officials, and embraced opportunities to learn and improve. The school congratulates every player for their fantastic achievement and excellent representation of our school community.
