Visual Arts Term 3

Meet the Art Captains…

ALEXANDER

Hi, my name is Alexander. I became an art captain because I love the history of art. My favourite art equipment is water colour because it is satisfying and smooth. I like to make and create food art because you can eat it and present it beautifully. My favourite artist is Yayoi Kusama because she makes art at a really old age and is very famous for her pumpkin art.

SPENCER

Hi my name is Spencer and I became an art captain because I love art and I have so much creative freedom. My favourite material is a simple grey lead because I can just do realism sketches for hours. My favourite art is realism. My favourite artist is Banksy because he uses so much creativity and uses his surroundings to inspire his street art.

BENJI

Hi I’m Benji. I am an art captain because I have a love of art. My brother and I like to do drawing contests. When we had production I drew the main characters and gave them to them.

DANIEL

Hi, I’m Daniel and I am a Grade Six! I like being art captain because it is fun. I like to do all sorts of art. My favourite artist is Leondardo Di Vinci. He has some really cool inventions like the flying machine. I also like the Mona Lisa.

NICHOLAS ~ we will hear from Nicholas next week.

Next week our art captains will share some information about our art show theme and a special project they will be working on as a team.

Don’t forget Art Club is on Tuesdays at second break.

Art work above ~ a visual brainstorm of Claude Monet by Hugo from Year 1MJ. So gorgeous, I had to share this.
