YOUNG SCIENTISTS AWARDS:

Congratulations to our STEM students who won special awards for their Young Scientist Research Projects. The students, parents and their STEM teachers were invited to the STA NSW Young Scientist Awards Presentation Ceremony, which was held at UTS last Monday evening, 27 November. It was an exciting evening for the students being presented with their Certificates in recognition of their achievement in the 2023 Young Scientist Research Competition. A special thank you to Dr. Simon Crook, who gave all our 4-6 STEM students excellent guidance throughout the year.

• Scientific Investigations - Yrs 5-6 Award:  Zachary C, Sebastian C and Christopher P - ‘Sand Tobogganing’
• RACI Chemistry Encouragement Award - 1st in Primary: Elise K - ‘Appetising Apples’

It is very unusual for more than one student from a school to receive an award at the Young Scientist. We are very proud that four of our students received this and there were other projects which were outstanding as well.

Library News!

As library borrowing has ended for the year, we are asking for all library books to be returned. We will be undertaking a stocktake in Week 9 so would appreciate all books being returned as soon as possible.
