Books to Life Incursion – The Book Week fun continues

We were excited to welcome back Books to Life to our school TODAY, Wednesday 9 September, at 2:15pm in the gym, for another whole school performance!
Continuing our Book Week celebrations, students were treated to an exciting, interactive performance that brought the magic of the shortlisted book Being Indy, written by Zoe Gaetjens & illustrated by Estee Sarsfield, to life through storytelling, drama, music and plenty of imagination.
Being Indy is a story of trying to fit in and discovering the true worth of being yourself. A tale of courage, kindness, and finding your place in a world that says you don’t belong.
Books to Life have been visiting our school for several years, bringing much-loved books to life through engaging and interactive performances. Last year, we enjoyed their adaptation of General Waste and were entertained by Tony, who invited students on stage to help him retell the story.
This wonderful experience has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Camp Australia. We are incredibly grateful for their support in helping us inspire a love of books and reading across our school community.
Photos to come next week!
