Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Celebrating Our Grandparents & Grand Carers

Today at St Michael’s, we came together to celebrate the incredible grandparents and grand carers in our school community. This annual gathering is always a highlight on our calendar, giving us a dedicated moment to honour and give thanks for these special people. Grandparents play an irreplaceable role in shaping young lives, offering love, wisdom and guidance that leaves a lasting impact. We were blessed with beautiful weather for our final day of Term 3, making the celebration all the more joyful. As a Catholic school community, we also held in our prayers Saints Joachim and Anne—the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus—asking for their continued blessings on all our families.

St Michael’s Shines Bright at the Glow Disco

Last Thursday evening, the St Michael’s School community turned out in full force for our annual school disco. The COLA was packed with energy as students and families danced, caught up and celebrated a fantastic evening together.

A massive thank you goes out to everyone who brought this wonderful event to life. Our hard-working P&F team and dedicated staff collaborated seamlessly to create an unforgettable evening for our students.

A special shout-out goes to P&F President Jessica Callkut and School Admin Bron Newton for their incredible behind-the-scenes efforts in making the night such a huge success. And of course, we can't forget DJ Murph for keeping the music pumping and the dance floor jumping all night long.

Well done to everyone involved for making it a night to remember!

Upcoming School Musical: The Quest

Preparations are well underway for our upcoming school musical, The Quest, to be performed on Thursday evening, November 19, at Manilla Town Hall.

To help us get stage-ready, we kindly ask parents of children in Kindergarten to Year 3 to begin preparing their child's costume:

  • K–3 Costumes: Children can dress as any Fairy Tale, Nursery Rhyme, or Disneycharacter. Every child in K–3 will be on stage and playing a part.
  • Years 4–6 Costumes: Main character roles have been cast from Years 4–6. Because these roles require specific outfits, these costumes will be supplieddirectly by the school.

Thank you so much for your support in getting our performers dressed and ready for what promises to be a fantastic show.
