Multicultural Day
At Parkhill, Multicultural Day was a wonderful celebration of the many cultures that make up our community. Students thoroughly enjoyed the exciting Kung Fu Fan Dancing Workshop and were captivated by the entertaining Journey to the West Shadow puppet show. Students rotated through a variety of cultural activities, including creating Mexican Day of the Dead sugar skulls, learning about the Italian Befana (Christmas Witch), exploring American baseball, designing Japanese hanko stamps, and discovering the fascinating world of Greek gods and goddesses. They enthusiastically embraced each experience and enjoyed hands-on opportunities to learn about different cultural traditions from around the world. Through these engaging activities, students developed a deeper appreciation for the diversity in our community. It was fantastic to see so many students embracing the spirit of Multicultural Day by wearing traditional costumes and sharing their cultural backgrounds with their peers.
