Emergency Services Day - Preps

What a beautiful day our ABC’s had at the Emergency Services Day!
The excitement was high from the moment we arrived, with so many hands-on activities and friendly faces to meet.
Our first stop was Ambulance Victoria, where the children had the opportunity to walk through the ambulance vehicle and explore the equipment inside. They especially enjoyed practising CPR through play-based activities, learning important safety skills in a fun and engaging way.
We then visited the SES display, where the students later watched an impressive Jaws of Life demonstration. The children were fascinated to see how emergency workers help people in difficult situations and listened carefully as the team explained the process.
Stopping by Victoria Police was another highlight of the day. The officers were incredibly friendly and showed the children inside their police van. The ABC’s were very interested to learn how police help keep Mildura safe using special monitoring cameras throughout the community.
If you ask the ABC’s, however, their favourite part of the day was most likely the Defence Force section! The children climbed, crawled and even painted their faces just like members of the Army. There were smiles everywhere as they explored the activities and challenged themselves with enthusiasm and confidence.
