Differentiated School Performance Report
I am pleased to announce that our School Performance Group "Influence" has been published from the Department of Education. This is held of high importance within the Department.
This means that performance is high or very high. This level of performance is maintained consistently over three years or is on a positive improvement trajectory with the school acting as an influencer and system leader. As an overall performance group, this indicates that the majority of domains and measures have positive results.
Our school’s performance group is used to tailor the duration and focus of our school review in Term 3 2024. Our performance group also informs the frequency of monitoring from the Department and range of supports the school receives following a review.
This data is based upon parent/carer/guardian, staff and student's views of how the school is performing against key measures. These are compared to both mainstream and specialist schools.
Thank you to all of you for your ongoing commitment and dedication to making our school a leading school within the state.
Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) 2024
In Term 4 2023, the leadership team met to complete our monitoring of the 2023 AIP and develop our Annual Implementation Plan for 2024. Our 2024 AIP has now been endorsed by the Department and School Council. For the first time in the last four-years, this will be based upon FISO 2.0 and our 2020-2024 SSP. We had the choice to not follow the state-directed priority goals as we have done so since COVID-19 in 2020. The AIP documents the annual plan for school improvement priorities and provides purpose for all members of the school community as they work towards the goals set out in the four-year School Strategic Plan (SSP). The AIP is developed and monitored by the school leadership teams in consultation with staff. Schools use the Framework for Improving Student Outcomes (FISO) 2.0 improvement cycle to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate AIP.

School Revirew 2024
We have been notified by the School Review Unit that our 2023 School Review is scheduled to take place in Term 3, 2024. A school reviewer will be allocated in August and will make contact with us by Week 5 of Term 1 2024, to organise dates for a preparation meeting (visit) and the school review. We will now begin to prepare our pre-review self-evaluation (PRSE).
On the Curriculum Day we will begin our Review Methodology against FISO 2.0 and our SSP goals and targets. We have made significant progress towards our 2020-2024 SSP, despite interruptions from COVID-19 and challenges faced upon returning back to school, staffing shortages and our capital works program.
Performance and Development Plans (PDP) 2024 - Goal Setting
As a school, for the performance and development process in 2024, we will continue to use the state-wide alternative Statement of Expectation instead the standard Performance and Development Plan (PDP) process. Staff or reviewers are not required to complete any routine documentation or monitoring in eduPay. However as a network, the Statement of Expectation word template is now greater aligned to the pervious process.
The 2024 Statement of Expectation for teacher class employees is aligned to the key improvement strategies of learning and wellbeing in the AIP. Teacher class employees are encouraged to consider how they contribute to these areas as appropriate to their role and setting. Further information about the Statement of Expectation will be provided early Term 1 as the state-wide goals have not yet been released.
PDPs in 2024 will continue to be completed in teams for teachers and ESS. Staff with other positions of responsibility will have a 1:1 PDP with your line manager.
At the start of the PDP cycle, Teachers were asked to complete a reflection against the High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) and new High Impact Wellbeing Strategies. To download these documents please click on the buttons below:
ESS will use the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Framework aligned to the Jackson Teaching & Learning Model, HITS and HIWS for their end-of-cycle group reflection.
