Ironside Book Week: Week 10 Thursday 17th September
We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week Day with our community on Thursday 17th September (Week 10).
With the official CBCA Book Week currently in the spotlight, many people ask: Why do we celebrate Book Week?
Book Week is a chance to celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling as a community. Just as we celebrate achievements in sport, music, and the arts, we also celebrate the books and stories that bring us together. Through shared reading experiences, students, staff, and families connect through imagination, laughter, and learning. While dressing up is part of the fun, Book Week is really about celebrating books, reading, and the special sense of togetherness that stories create.

Consent forms for the Book Week incursion have been sent via QParents. If you do not have QParents, a PDF copy of the consent form is attached below.
Please complete and return the consent form as soon as possible. If your child will not be attending the incursion, please select "Consent Denied" so that we can accurately finalise attendance arrangements.

House Reading Cup
Finding a seat in the library has been a challenge lately, and that's a wonderful problem to have! So many students are borrowing great books and settling in to read, while also earning points for their house. The competition remains incredibly close, with all houses reading and borrowing enthusiastically, although Cook has held a narrow lead for the past week.
It has also been wonderful to see parents visiting the library with their children before school. The library is open each morning from 8:30 am to 8:50 am, and we love welcoming families in to browse, borrow, and enjoy reading together.
