📚 Book Week 2026: Celebrating a Love of Reading!

Book Week 2026 is here, and we’ve been building excitement around literacy and reading across our school over the past few weeks. 

Celebrating our Young Authors 

We were thrilled to see our Teesdale students featured in the Geelong Advertiser after participating in the National Young Author’s Fair. It has been fantastic to celebrate our students as published authors and showcase their creativity and love of writing with the wider community.

Sharing Stories with our Kinder Friends

Our Term 3 Curriculum Committee students visited Barribina Early Learningeach day to read stories to the Kinder students. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their love of books and reading with our younger community members.

Book Week Dress Up Day & Parade

We celebrated Book Week with our school wide dress-up day and parade at assembly! This year, our Curriculum Committee launched their Best Dressed Awards, celebrating creative, hand made costumes inspired by books. The focus wasn’t on the most expensive or elaborate costume, but on celebrating creativity, effort and a love of books. We loved seeing students bring their favourite characters and stories to life! It has been wonderful to see the excitement around books, reading and writing growing across our school.
