Softball

A huge congratulations to our Senior Softball team who were crowned State Champions at the SSAV Championships on Thursday 21 May.

They were victorious over five other schools, including Haileybury in the Grand Final.  This is testament to the hard work of students and coaches over a number of years, and a terrific way for the current Year 12s to conclude their softball journey at St Catherine’s.

Australian Rules Football

A big congratulations to Ally M and Minnie CDC (both Year 8), who have recently been selected in the Victorian Under-14 Girls State Australian Rules Football team.  We wish them well for the upcoming National Championships held in Victoria in July.  

Cross Country

Well done to all students who participated in the GSV Preliminary ‘A’ Cross Country Carnival on Tuesday, 19 May at Yarra Bend Park.  

Results were as follows:

Juniors – 4th Place

Intermediates – 5th Place 

Seniors - 5th Place 

This means that we have qualified for the Division 2 Championship Carnival, to be held next Friday 29 May at Cruden Farm. 

Congratulations to Charlotte R and Emma H for finishing in the Top 10 in the Intermediate race.

Junior School District Cross Country team

Well done to our Junior School District Cross Country Team for their participation in their recent carnival.  All ran extremely well and did themselves and St Catherine’s proud!

A big congratulations to Anja R (Year 5), Bianca F (Year 4), Charlotte G (Year 5) and Chloe H (Year 6) for qualifying for the Division Cross Country, we wish them well for their event next Tuesday 26 May.  

SSV District Netball and Soccer

Congratulations to the Year 6 girls who represented the School with pride this past week at Sacre Couer for the School Sport Victoria (SSV) District Netball and Soccer. Our girls battled hard against excellent opposition. Thank you to our coaches and families for supporting the girls during the day.  Go St Catherine's!
