Inspiring and purposeful pathways

Careers Week offered a valuable opportunity for students across Years 7 – 12 to explore future pathways, engage with industry professionals and reflect on the wide range of possibilities available beyond school. Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of presentations and seminars designed to develop their understanding, confidence and curiosity about future pathways and the evolving world of work.

A highlight of the week was the Senior Years' Assembly, where students heard from inspiring guest speakers who shared their personal journeys and professional insights. Maddie Hooker, an Olympic Cross-Country skier and recent Nil Magnum Nisi Bonum inductee, spoke about her professional journey and encouraged students to remain open to opportunities while following their passions.

Students also heard from entrepreneur Charlotte Coote, Founder of Coote & Co, who provided insight into entrepreneurship, brand development and leadership. Her presentation encouraged students to think creatively, persevere in the pursuit of their goals and explore the possibilities of creating their own future pathways.

Throughout the week, students attended a range of careers seminars on topics such as overseas applications, career resources, gap years and applying for work. These sessions helped students better understand the variety of pathways available beyond school and the steps required to access them. They were also encouraged to consider how their personal interests might connect to future study and career options.

The Junior School also took part in Career Week celebrations, hearing from Year 11 students Polly M, Liv G and Alekhya A. Students shared their personal experiences, subject choices and future aspirations, providing younger students with a glimpse into life as a Senior student.
