Health & PE News

It was great to welcome our students back to school last Tuesday with some multi age team building games to kick off the term! Observing our students reconnect and support one another is heartwarming and sets the tone for a fabulous term ahead together.
This week each class completed their dance unit, which carried over from last term. It has been fabulous to observe the growth in confidence and skills over the past few sessions. You can look forward to some engaging student dance routines at our upcoming assemblies!
This term we are looking forward to exploring our Health focus of Personal Safety & Help-Seeking, along with various PE topics including skipping, striking skills through various sports including t-ball, cricket and tennis, as well as athletics. Students will engage in warm up games and circuits, individual, partner and small group skill drills and activities, as well as whole group exercises including games.
Our Grade 3-6 students will enjoy our upcoming District Cricket and Tennis Day taking place in September, where our senior students select the sport they would like to participate in on the day, and our younger students participate in clinics in both sports– stay tuned for further details! Our Grade 5/6 students will spend some extra time each Tuesday training for this event. This week they enjoyed kicking this off with some tennis training!
Looking forward to a terrific term 3!
