5/6 Parliament Excursion

The Excursion to Parliament

The excursion was to learn about democracy and was linked towards the class's debating unit. We were able to act out parliamentary roles and debate a bill about whether school should use Esports in PE or not.

Some students wore robes and debated while the others were members of either the government or the opposition. We would answer “here, here” whilst grabbing our collars and nodding our heads. The opposite team to whoever was speaking would shake their heads and say “shame.”

The excursion in general was a great experience, and the entire parliament was filled with gold and silver almost everywhere you looked. I hope this provides a good view on the Victorian parliament excursion!!
