Hello Foundation Families,

It’s been another busy and exciting week in our Foundation classrooms! 😊We loved seeing so many families at our Prep Information Session on Wednesday, thank you for coming along and supporting your child’s learning. This week, teachers also introduced House Points as a new classroom reward system, and the excitement has been real!

📚 Reading: Students have been sequencing familiar and much-loved stories such as The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man, building their understanding of what happens first, next, and last.

✏️ Writing: Children are continuing to practise writing simple sentences, with a strong focus on starting with a capital letter and finishing with a full stop. We are so proud of their growing confidence!

🔢 Maths: Students have been sequencing the days of the week and talking about events that happen throughout the school day.

🏠 Integrated Studies: Our learning about family structures continued, with students creating a special booklet to take home and share with their families.

🛍️ Reminder: Students will be visiting the SWPBS shop on Tuesday, where they’ll get to spend their hard-earned Champion Chips on prizes. How exciting!

📖 Home Reading & Homework: Home reading and homework officially begin on Tuesday. Please support your child to read for at least 10 minutes each night and complete their allocated Reading Eggs and Mathletics lessons at least twice a week.
