Celebrating performing and creative arts at our school
At NCS, our assemblies have always been a time of reflection and learning about God and His creation. A core component of assemblies is always a time of worship, led by our dedicated assembly band. This year, our band is made up of 22 students across all year groups of secondary school.
While these students may be on stage performing and building their skills in music, their role in the band is more about servant leadership through worship. Through their quiet preparation, the encouragement from older band members toward younger students, and the way they invite all to join in worship, the band seeks to use their gifts from God to serve the school community.
This year, our assembly band is leading the whole school, Secondary and Primary assemblies. We extend a warm welcome to all the school community to join us at assemblies as we worship our God. In order for our wider community to engage more fully in worship at our assemblies, take a moment to listen to our playlist of songs, ‘NCS Assembly Songs’.
A huge thanks goes out to every student who carries a guitar, sets up a mic stand, or runs the slides. Their service makes a lasting impact on the culture of our school.
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
