Sport Update

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to all of our students from Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 who attended Ballam Park athletics track on Monday 7th September to compete in the track and field events through Murdoch District Athletics. These students had trained for weeks and participated in trials before being selected to represent Baxter Primary School at this level. We know that you did an incredible job of your events on the day and we are very proud of you all.

A big thank you to Ms McNeill, Ms Taylor & Mitch for their supervision, encouragement and support on the day. Thank you also to the many families who came along to barrack for the students. It really does make a difference.

We would like to acknowledge the following students who placed top 2 in their events and are now invited to compete in the Northern Peninsula Division athletics in Term 4:

Will M – 1st place 1500m, 800m, triple jump & high jump (Will can only progress in 2 events so he has chosen to advance in the 1500m & 800m)

Lukah S – 2nd Discus

Ryan H – 2nd Shotput

Macey D -1st Shotput & 2nd Discus

Laney S – 2nd High jump

Well done to you all on your personal achievements. Your dedication, training and persistence really paid off. Good luck next term!
