Hello everyone,
I’ve been very impressed with the way students have approached PE sessions with enthusiasm and positivity over the last 2 weeks.
Students in Years 3–6 have been practising and participating in the Triple Jump event that was unable to be run on Athletics Day. It has been great to see students working on their hop, step and jump technique while encouraging their peers during the event. Our 800m trial events will be held before school in Week 9 for students wishing to trial for district athletics. More information to follow.
Our Foundation students have been exploring a range of movement stations, including hopping, zig-zag running, balancing and speed activities. These stations help students develop their fundamental movement skills while building confidence and coordination.
Students in Years 1–2 have been focusing on soccer skills, learning how to dribble, stop and pass the ball through a variety of games and activities.
It has been fantastic to see students developing their skills while supporting and encouraging one another during PE lessons.
Kind regards, Tom Porter
