Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
Upper Primary Students enjoyed their first excursion of the year to Werribee Park Mansion. Students explored a child’s bedroom from the past, playing with a variety of different toys. They experienced how times have changed and how technology has changed the way we communicate, play, work and live. It was a wonderful excursion that linked students Inquiry learning about past, present and future.
Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)
The 7/8 classes have enjoyed visiting the school farm at Keilor Downs College as their first excursions of the year. Students were excited to step outside the classroom and take part in a range of hands-on activities around the farm. These experiences allowed them to connect their learning with the real world while developing an appreciation for animals and the environment.
A highlight of the visits was meeting the farm animals. Students particularly enjoyed spending time with the chickens and guinea pigs, and there was plenty of excitement about the farm’s brand-new bunnies.
The excursions were a fantastic way to start the year, helping students build teamwork, and confidence while exploring the unique learning opportunities our school farm provides. The 7/8 classes are already looking forward to future visits and continuing to learn through these engaging, hands-on experiences.
