Volunteer Chaplaincy Assistant

 

City Mission is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteer with our Chaplaincy Service, primarily in the area of Youth.  This fulfilling opportunity will allow you to take an active role in coming alongside youth (12-25) from the local community.   

Please note:  this is not a school based chaplaincy service.

 

The primary duties for the Chaplaincy Assistant (Youth) will be:

  • Working together with the wider City Mission Chaplaincy Team and Youth services for provision of service to 12-25 year olds.
  • Working with the team to plan, prepare and facilitate various Chaplaincy based group programs and activities.  (including setup and packup)
  • Working with other services and youth organisations for combined activities/crossover.
  • Hours:  (Initially School Terms) Thursdays 2.00pm – 6.00pm.

 

Requirements for the position:

A commitment to consistent attendance is essential for building effective relationships.

Must be physically fit to play games & sports.

Interview, pastoral reference and onboarding process to volunteer with Chaplaincy is required to comply with our Safeguarding Children compliance.

WWVP Card and Police Check is required but we can assist you in the application.

As the program extends more opportunities to contribute will be available at other times.
