Grandparents & Friends Afternoon
What a wonderful afternoon we had at our Grandparents & Special Friends event!
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Primary School and Parents in Community for their hard work and dedication in making this day a huge success. Your efforts truly shine—and the oliebollen were a delightful treat!
We also want to extend our gratitude to our Primary School teachers for welcoming our guests into their classrooms and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Your passion for our students is inspiring!
A special shoutout to Bloom Coffee for keeping us fueled with delicious caffeine throughout the afternoon!
To our guests, thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your presence enriches our students' lives in so many ways! As we reflect on the bonds we've strengthened, we’re reminded of Proverbs 17:6: "Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."
We are truly blessed to have such a supportive community!
Last Day of Term 3
What a fantastic last day of Term 3 at our school! We celebrated with a Footy Colours Day, where everyone dressed up in their favourite teams. It was a sea of colours and team spirit!
A huge congratulations to Year 11 student Bradley Moylon, who won the 2024 AFL Volunteer Photography Award! His prize includes flights, accommodation, tickets to the AFL Grand Final, and more! Check out his amazing work here: bradleymoylon.com. Way to go, Brad!
A special shoutout to our Year 10 to 12 students who had a blast playing in the Parrot Cup—such a great time was had by all!
We hope everyone has a wonderful break, and we can’t wait to see you all next term!
“For we rest in His unfailing love.” – Psalm 13:5
Secondary School Term 3 Assembly
Last week our Secondary School community came together to celebrate the end of another successful term!
We kicked things off with a wonderful devotion from SLC Treasurer, Biniyam, followed by Mr. Torlach, who inspired us with a powerful message about God’s design and purpose for our lives.
As we bid farewell to our upper secondary students, Mr. Black shared some thoughtful reflections on new seasons, while reminding students how much we as a community care for them.
We were also thrilled to welcome Sophie van der Klay from the Cancer Council, who emphasized the importance of sun safety—remember to protect your skin!
A huge shoutout to all our amazing speakers, the SLC, and the worship band for making this assembly so special. Let’s keep the energy going as we strive to stick the landing this term!
Breakfast Club
Every Friday morning before school, our students come together for a special Breakfast Club! They enjoy delicious toasties and hot chockies, lovingly prepared by our SLC and wonderful staff, student, and parent volunteers. It’s a fantastic way to start the day with good food and even better fellowship!
A heartfelt thank you to our Parents in Community for generously funding this initiative.
As our wellbeing staff member, Mrs. de Bruyn, beautifully shares, "Breakfast Club is all about building our community in Christ. It’s a great way for students to start their day, fuelling their minds and spirits. I love seeing students greet one another and parents getting involved—watching them sit down together in fellowship is so important. This initiative keeps us connected and has truly fulfilled the goals we set for it."
We can't wait to see everyone there!
Exciting Adventures in 6G
This term, our brilliant Year Six students dove into the electrifying world of circuits!
From wiring lighthouses to tinkering with motors and buzzers, they truly shone.
The grand finale? Designing their very own “drawing bots”!
Armed with equipment kits and a spark of creativity, our young engineers crafted unique switch mechanisms and fine-tuned their designs to bring their bots to life!
The results? A whirlwind of artistic creations and lots of laughter! Check out these amazing masterpieces our students created!
Keep shining, 6G!
Spelling Bee
Over these past few weeks, 44 students from Years 3-6 participated in the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee.
These students all participated in the school round of the competition, where they were asked to listen to 30 spelling words read aloud and spell them within a given time period. This can be quite a challenge task, especially when trying to understand a word you’ve never heard before!
Following this round, we learned that 22 of our students qualified for the Tasmanian State Finals. All of our finalists achieved wonderful results but were sadly just below qualifying for the National Finals. We are so proud of our wonderful Spelling Bees!

SATIS Swimming Pennant
A special shout out to our U/16 Boys team of Connor McCabe, Zinzan Farmer, Gus Challis and Donovan Peters who won our first ever age group pennant in swimming! Awesome work boys.
Girls 1sts Volleyball
After winning the NSATIS Volleyball Grand Final on Monday afternoon our NSATIS Girls Snr. 1sts Volleyball team earnt the right to contest the SATIS State volleyball title in Hobart on Wednesday! A guick turn around between games!
We departed LCS @ 7:15am and had the obligatory Campbell Town stop for some hot drinks. We arrived @ Guilford Young College and watched the Boys Volleyball final between SOC and Guilford.
Then it was our turn to take on Guilford in the Girls state final.
It was a match of EPIC PROPORTIONS!
Excellent volleyball skills and sportsmanship were on display from both teams and some sensational rallies and shot play meant that game was super close.
We managed to secure the first set 25-19 which helped calm the early nerves.
Guilford responded in the second set to take it out 25-22. The third set was super tense as the team's exchanged points in a tense battle, but we were able to take it out 25-23.
We got off to a fast start in the fourth set taking a solid lead, but unfortunately Guilford got on a roll and won the set 25-21 which pushed it into a fifth and deciding set to 15 points.
In another thrilling set, Guilford, with the home crowd cheering them on, caught fire with some exceptional serving and they clinched the set 15-10 to take out the state title.
We are super proud of the girls for their achievements and the way they represented LCS and even though we couldn't secure the state title we are still the NSATIS Champions for 2024!
Well done team!

Important Reminder: Parking @ LCS
We would like to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to our school's parking policy. It is crucial that we all abide by the posted speed limit to protect the safety of our children and other users of this shared space. Failure to do so puts our ability to continue using Windsor Park for drop-off and pick-up at risk.
Please take a moment to review the attached parking policy, which outlines the guidelines and expectations we must follow. Compliance with this policy is not optional - it is essential for the wellbeing of our school community and our continued use of this facility.
We urge everyone to drive slowly and carefully when entering and exiting the park and to ensure that you park in a safe manner within the designated areas. Let's work together to address this issue before it escalates further.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
