Have a read of Will's journey since school:

“Since leaving St Brigid’s College I worked in NSW at Warren and Hay for 2 years over 2017 and 2018 on sheep stations. This was a great experience doing something different. In 2019-2020 I studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Agribusiness at Marcus Oldham College in Geelong. I was fortunate enough to be able to experience overseas study tours to China in 2019 and a planned tour to New Zealand in 2020 which was cancelled due to COVID. I completed placement with National Australia Bank in Hamilton and planned on completing a graduate program as an Agribusiness Financial Analyst with NAB or Rabobank. Intakes to these programs were however delayed due to the COVID 19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions.

After graduating university I worked in Esperance driving an airseeder and completed a harvest run up the east coast starting in Queensland and finishing in Victoria. I also worked in South Australia on a merino stud for 18 months in the Clare Valley and Mid North region around the townships of Jamestown and Clare. I treated these as more of an interim job until the banking grad programs were reopened after the COVID restrictions lifted. I enjoyed these job opportunities as it provided a lot of variety to try different things whilst meeting new people and seeing different parts of Australia.I now have a business doing rural fencing and yard building. Most of the jobs I have done since leaving high school have been somewhat unconventional. However, I have been fortunate enough to work across most states of Australia where I have been able to meet hundreds of people and experience many different and unique places that Australia has to offer.”
