Principal's Report
Farewell Clyde
As I reflect on my time at Clyde Primary School this term, I feel incredibly grateful for the warm welcome I have received from students, staff and families. It has been a wonderful privilege to be part of the Clyde community and to get to know so many of the people who make this such a special school.
From visiting classrooms and connecting with students in the yard to celebrating events such as the Principal’s Award Lunch, PJ Dress-Up Day and Clyde’s Got Talent, the term has been filled with many memorable moments. I have been particularly proud to see our students demonstrate confidence, kindness, creativity and our school values.
As my time as Acting Principal comes to an end, I leave with many wonderful memories and genuine sadness that my time here is finishing. Thank you, Clyde, for making me feel so welcome and for allowing me to be part of your school community. It has truly been an absolute pleasure.
Today is an early finish, with students needing to be collected at 2:30pm. Families are welcome to visit their child's classroom to watch the latest edition of Clyde TV. If you have more than one child at the school, please go to the youngest child's classroom and staff will organise for your older child/ren to meet you there.
Term 4 will resume on Monday 5th of October, at 9am.
School Hats
School hats are now required to be worn outside at all times. For convenience, please encourage your child to leave their hat at school.

Footy Day Sausage Sizzle
Our Footy Day sausage sizzle has raised a total of $1315.80 which will go towards the bike shed upgrade. Please see the Footy Day Parade page for some amazing pictures.
Pyjama Day
Last Friday, our SRC held a Pyjama Day to raise funds for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Our students raised $437.50!

Principal Awards
Term 4 - Student Free Days
We have 2 upcoming Curriculum Days early next term on Friday 30th October and Monday 2nd November. Students will therefore not be required to attend school on these days. Team Kids will be operating on these days. These will be followed by the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday on Tuesday 3rd November.
Planning for 2027
As we begin planning for the 2027 school year, it is important that we have accurate information about student enrolments.
If you know that your child/children are transferring to another school, moving away or homeschooling, please inform our office staff via email at clyde.ps@education.vic.gov.au as soon as possible.
2027 Foundation Transition
Our staff are busy preparing for our Foundation 2027 cohort, with transition sessions beginning next term. Throughout these sessions, students will meet staff from the school and will participate in a range of activities, so they can begin to become familiar and comfortable in our new setting. They will have the opportunity to form new friendships and relationships with students and staff. All transition sessions over the next few months will have a different focus. The more sessions children participate in, the more comfortable they will feel when beginning Foundation next year. We look forward to seeing these students become part of our Clyde community.
The dates for our Foundation transition sessions are:
Thursday 22nd October: 9.30am – 10.30am
Monday 9th November 12.30pm-1.30pm
Tuesday 24th November 9.15am-10.45am
Tuesday 1st December 6pm -7pm (information evening)
Tuesday 8th December 9.30am-1.00pm
Whole School Transition
Clyde Primary School are currently planning for our Whole School Transition program, beginning next term. This program helps students prepare and adapt to their new year level for 2027. In October, staff will be asking their students to nominate four friends they would like in their class in 2027, this will assist them to create new class lists in preparation for next year. Students will usually get at least one of their nominated friends in their new class. If you have any parent requests, please send them through to the school’s email address.
Lost Property
Please take the time to check lost property for your child's jacket or belongings during the first week of Term 4.
We are overflowing with unnamed jackets/jumpers and other items too.
Uniform is kept in the lost property area, located at the back of the administration building. Special/unique items are kept with the office staff. Please take a look at the pictures below and come to collect as soon as possible!
Any items not collected by the end of week 1 of Term 4 will be donated, thrown out or placed in the second-hand uniform sale.
