Have you thought about volunteering?

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

School uniforms play a significant role in promoting inclusion within educational settings. By providing all students with a standardised dress code, uniforms help minimize visible economic and social differences.

This creates a more equitable environment where students feel a sense of belonging and are less likely to experience bullying or discrimination based on their attire.

Uniforms contribute to fostering school pride, unity, and a collective identity among students from diverse backgrounds. If you receive a school uniform notice via compass please see it as the school offering support.

To support families in meeting the cost of uniforms, programs such as the School Saving Bonus and State School Relief offer financial assistance for purchasing school uniforms.

These initiatives help ensure that all students, regardless of their economic situation, have access to appropriate school clothing, reinforcing inclusive practices.

In the colder months it is important to consider warm winter uniform options to keep students comfortable and focused on learning.

For advice on suitable winter uniform items, please contact the school office, which can provide guidance on approved and practical options.

ILLNESS

With the colder months now upon us we are seeing a lot more illnesses across the school, in particular colds and flus.

A reminder that if your child is unwell that you keep them at home until they are fully recovered.

If your child becomes ill at school, you will be contacted to collect them.

Please ensure all contact details for parents and emergency contacts are up to date.

STUDENT REPORTS AND PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Teachers and students have been working very hard over the past few weeks completing assessment and reporting tasks.

The reports will be available on Compass on Wednesday 24 June 2026. Parent Teacher Interviews will be in the third week of Term 3.

Please ensure that you book your Interview time through compass when bookings open but if you have any issues please contact the school office.

Parent Teacher Interviews will be held Monday 27 to Wednesday 29 July August 2026 from 3.30 - 5pm.

NB: Year 4 interviews will commence earlier for those families who can access that time.

YEAR 6 CAMP MELBOURNE

It was a very early start on Wednesday as the journey to Melbourne via train began. After a long train trip the students and staff settled into their accommodation and began enjoying the hospitality of the CYC staff and the fantastic activities planned.

The staff reported to me that all students participated fully in all of the activities and events.

The many highlights included the Olde Melbourne Gaol, Shrine of Remembrance, MCG, Ice-Skating and the Queen Victoria Market.

This has been a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain independence away from home but in an environment where their friends and school staff are in attendance.

I’d like to thank all of the students for doing so well and representing our school in a mature and positive manner. I’d also like to thank parents and families for supporting our camping program.

Finally, thankyou to staff for organising and attending this camp as well. I know everyone had a great time.
