On Friday, 24 October, our Year 10 students attended an engaging and inspiring event featuring guest speakers Patty Kinnersly, CEO of Our Watch, and Ben Brown, former AFL player and advocate for gender equality and inclusion.

The morning was a great success, with Patty and Ben leading a powerful discussion on healthy masculinities, respectful relationships, and the impact of the online environment. Ben shared valuable insights from his experiences as an AFL footballer, offering the boys a genuine perspective on the pressures young men can face in sport and society. He spoke openly about the importance of breaking through stereotypes and choosing to live with respect, empathy, and authenticity.

The session was both thought-provoking and uplifting, leaving our students with important messages about what it means to be a respectful and responsible young man in today’s world.
