Principals Report

Dear students, parents and community,
We recently farewelled our Year 12 Class of 2025 in style at the formal last Saturday night. The Casino theme created a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, and the Formal Committee did an outstanding job with every detail of the evening. It was a wonderful celebration of our students and their achievements. We wish all our Year 12 students the very best for their futures and look forward to hearing about their HSC results and the pathways they choose moving forward.
As we move closer to the end of the year, I want to gently remind families that students in Years 7–10 are still required to attend school each day. Under NSW legislation, young people must remain in school until they complete Year 10 or turn 17, whichever comes first. Even after completing Year 10, students under 17 must be engaged full-time in school, training, or employment. Regular attendance in these final weeks is incredibly important—students are continuing learning, working on assessments, and participating in programs that build their skills, confidence, and readiness for the next stage of schooling. We appreciate your support in ensuring strong attendance right up until the final day of term.
We also have our upcoming Culture Camps at The Willows, which are shaping up to be a highlight of the term. These camps provide students with a rich opportunity to connect with Country, deepen their understanding of Aboriginal culture, and participate in hands-on learning experiences guided by trusted community members. The program is engaging, meaningful, and designed to strengthen students’ sense of identity, belonging, and respect. We strongly encourage students to attend, as these camps offer learning that simply cannot be replicated in a classroom and contribute significantly to their personal growth and wellbeing.
Please also save the date for our Presentation Day on Monday, 9 December, commencing at 11:30am. We warmly encourage families to attend this important celebration of student achievement. Following the ceremony, we will host a whole-school lunch for students, families, and community members to enjoy. This event is our way of saying thank you for your ongoing support and partnership throughout the year. Your contribution to our school community is greatly valued and deeply appreciated.
It is a very busy and exciting time of year, and we encourage all families to stay connected with the school, so you don’t miss the many events taking place over the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support as we finish the year positively and proudly together.
