From the Principal’s Desk

As we begin Advent, we are reminded of the call to serve others with humility and love. Servant leadership is at the heart of our mission, and if the recent School Captain speeches are anything to go by, St Margaret Mary’s is in terrific hands for 2026. The confidence, thoughtfulness, and sense of responsibility shown by our candidates was inspiring.

Our TED Talks event was another highlight of the week. Students delivered engaging presentations that connected mathematics to real-world applications, creative, insightful, and full of enthusiasm. Congratulations to all involved for making this such a success!

Staffing Update... We have a few staffing changes for 2026 that are still being finalised. These will be communicated next week after students have had the opportunity to meet and greet their new teacher for next year.

Upcoming Events and Reminders

• Friday 5 December – Last whole school assembly, Amadeus Performance, and  the P&F Bake Sale

• Wednesday 10 December – Whole school Carols at 5:00 pm sharp 

  ( please note the confirmed start time )

• Friday 12 December – Silent Disco (P&F Event)

  • Children must attend with a supervising parent, no drop-offs

  • Staff will not be attending, though I will be on site to lock up

  • Important:  SCS policy updates mean strictly no alcohol on school premises

Parish Raffle Tickets Please return all raffle tickets, sold or unsold, to the school office as soon as possible. Additional books are available if you would like to sell more. This is a wonderful Parish initiative, and it would be fantastic if we could all get behind it!
