Welcome back to the 2026 school year!
I hope the Christmas season brought your family abundant joy and blessings, and that the summer break offered everyone a well-deserved chance to recharge.
It has been wonderful to have all our students and their families back to school and to welcome our new families into our community. Seeing our students return with such genuine excitement and bright smiles has made for a remarkably calm and productive start in the classrooms.
A few reminders for the start of the new school year

The children are to be congratulated for returning to school wearing the correct summer uniform. Many of the children are wearing the newest uniform additions - they look great!
All children with long hair are reminded that hair should be tied back at all times. Please note that no nail polish is to be worn. Jewellery is kept to simple studs or sleepers and a watch.
Please make sure that all items, including lunch boxes and drink bottles, are labelled to avoid misplaced items. A school hat is to be worn in the mornings as well as at recess and lunch time.
School supervision begins at 8.20 am, when the school gates are opened in the morning.

Teachers supervise students until 3.30 pm each day.
When dropping students off, please take careful note of the parking notices and crossing areas around our school.
We ask that you do not block our neighbours driveways or illegally park in no stopping zones.
We all need to work together to do the right thing to prevent any accidents or dangerous situations involving our precious students and their families.
Now that our Kindergarten students have had a week to settle in, we ask that all parents stand over on the playground near the Church during morning assembly. We need to keep the thoroughfare in front of the office and in front of the Kindergarten classrooms clear at all times. Thank you for supporting us in this.

The morning bell rings at 8.50 am. Any child arriving after our morning assembly has concluded needs to be accompanied by a parent to the office and signed in on the Compass iPad. This is important to ensure that the students are marked present and their attendance is correct.
Please have your child at school on time, as late comers disrupt the operation of the school.
Your child’s classroom teacher is your first point of call regarding any issues pertaining to your child. Please send all emails or correspondence to our school office and not directly to the classroom teacher.

Mr Anderson and I can also be contacted through this email and phone number if you would like to speak to either of us regarding any matter.

A reminder that we are a nut, sesame and egg free school. Please ensure that no items
containing these products are packed in school lunchboxes. If any child brings an item that compromises the health of our students, it will be removed and parents can collect from the office. Students are reminded that sharing of food is not allowed at St Francis Xavier.
Our Allied Health Professionals will recommence their private sessions with some students next week. We are currently at capacity and are unable to facilitate new referrals having sessions at school. Please be reminded that we do our very best to accommodate families, however our time and available spaces are limited and teaching staff have priority.
Looking forward to a wonderful term ahead,
God Bless, Fiona
