Hello Foundation Families,

We can’t believe we’ve already completed the first 18 days of Prep, time really does fly when you’re having fun!

Our students have been busy settling into school life, learning routines and procedures, and exploring our three school values: Respect, Responsibility, and Teamwork. We’ve loved seeing children proudly collect Champion Chips when they demonstrate these values throughout the day.

In Reading, students have been learning the difference between a letter and a word, how to choose “just right” books from our classroom libraries, how to care for books, and how to explore books from our book boxes.

In Writing, children have been practising correct pencil grip, forming their names, and tracing and copying simple sentences.

In Maths, students have been creating and identifying 2- and 3-part motion and colour patterns, and they’ve just begun a new unit on duration. We’re also excitedly counting our way toward 100 Days of School!

A few friendly reminders:

• Prep Information Session: Wednesday 25 February at 8:45am
• Please return photo permission and local walk notes

• Most importantly, please complete and return the nurse form as soon as possible
