STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL

On Thursday 30th October, some very talented Wyndham students represented the school at Amazon's head office, exploring career pathways, learning problem solving skills and how to be an 'Amazonian'.

Students were tasked with designing and pitching a solution to some relevant issues in our society today.

  • Team 1- (Adarsh S, Nikola P, Lincoln J, Uzair K) had to design community spaces fit for the ever-expanding population of Sydney.
  • Team 2 - (Clea G, Shreya P, Maryam I, Aswini R, Pallavy T) had to come up with a solution to the increasing number of pets being abandoned at animal shelters.

Both teams worked diligently, coming up with creative and innovative solutions to their respective problems.

Team 1's solution of recycling old and abandoned office buildings to be community hubs won BEST PITCH, thanks largely to a brilliant 3-D mock up of a building.

Team 2's solution of introducing a mandatory pet ownership license was voted MOST LIKELY INITIATIVE TO BE FUNDED, showcasing their pragmatic thinking and problem solving.

Please congratulate these students when you see them!
