GRADUATION 2025

Year 12 Graduation 2025
Congratulations to our Graduating Class of 2025. We wish you all the best for your HSC Exams.
Celebrating Our Year 12 Aboriginal Graduates at Wyndham College
Last term, Wyndham College proudly celebrated the graduation of our Year 12 Aboriginal students with a ceremony that honoured both their achievements and their connection to culture. The event reflected the strength of family, the richness of Aboriginal culture, and the importance of education as a pathway to future opportunities.
As part of this special celebration, each graduate was presented with an Aboriginal art–inspired graduation stole. These beautifully designed stoles represent not only the students’ personal journeys through school but also their shared cultural heritage. This ceremony was made more meaningful by each stole being presented to the student by a family member. This symbolic act acknowledged the vital role that family plays in encouraging, supporting, and guiding young people throughout their schooling years.
Following the presentation, the students came together to contribute to a collective artwork as a gift to the school. Drawing inspiration from Aboriginal art traditions, they created a piece of garden art that will be placed in the school’s Aboriginal garden. This enduring gift is a gesture of gratitude and legacy, serving as an everlasting reminder of their time at Wyndham College.
Graduating from Year 12 is an important milestone in a young person’s life. It signifies not only the completion of thirteen years of schooling but also the resilience, determination, and commitment required to reach this point. For our Aboriginal students, this achievement also represents the continuing story of education as a tool for empowerment, opportunity, and cultural pride. Education opens doors to further study, employment, and leadership, and we are proud of our graduates for embracing the challenge and achieving success.
This ceremony also reminded us of the deep importance of embedding culture into education. By celebrating with art, storytelling, and family involvement, we recognised that learning does not happen in isolation—it is strengthened when students are supported by their culture and community. The stoles and the garden artwork stand as symbols of identity, connection, and pride, reinforcing that culture is at the heart of achievement.
The Wyndham College community extends our warmest congratulations to our Year 12 Aboriginal graduates. We are inspired by their journey and look forward to seeing the many pathways they will walk in the future. We also acknowledge the families, staff, and community members who have supported these students along the way. Their encouragement has played a vital role in ensuring our young people reach their potential and step into the next stage of life with confidence.
Our Aboriginal graduates have left their mark on Wyndham College, their achievements remind us of the power of education, the importance of culture, and the value of community.
