As we move towards the end of Term 2, there are many exciting learning opportunities and events coming up for our students.
Students are getting very excited for our Leeton Community of Public Schools (LCoPS) production "SHINE". All classes have been working on their performances as well as a grand finale. A HUGE shoutout to Miss Williams whose vision is coming to life on July 1.
Don't forget to purchase tickets to this event.
Our upcoming Small Schools Athletics Carnival is always a highlight of the school calendar. We look forward to seeing students demonstrating sportsmanship, teamwork, persistence and school spirit as they participate in a range of track and field events. We encourage all students to give their best effort and enjoy the day. An infants mini athletics afternoon will be held in early term 3.
Students in K-2 are also eagerly anticipating their excursion to Altina Wildlife Park. This will provide a fantastic hands-on learning experience, allowing students to engage with Australian wildlife and learn more about conservation and the natural environment. We thank our staff and families for supporting this valuable educational opportunity. Also thank you to the P&C for covering the cost for the bus.
As we approach NAIDOC Week, our students will have the opportunity to participate in a special event at Gralee School. NAIDOC Week is an important time for all Australians to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are grateful for opportunities such as this that help strengthen students' understanding, respect and appreciation of Australia's rich First Nations cultures.
Across the school, students continue to engage in high-quality learning experiences each day. Our teachers remain focused on explicit teaching practices, ensuring every student is supported to achieve success in literacy, numeracy and across all key learning areas. It has been wonderful to see students demonstrating our school values and making positive progress toward their learning goals.
Thank you to our families for your ongoing support. Working together, we continue to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.
