Free Community Training Courses

Wagga Wagga City Council are offering FREE Community Action Training courses for volunteers of community groups to learn lifesaving skills to help our communities be better prepared in the case of emergencies.

 

Learn how to help in floods, bushfires and other emergencies!

WWCC has partnered with a range of organisations to provide free and low cost training opportunities throughout the year for volunteers, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations who provide activities, programs and services in Wagga Wagga and surrounding LGAs (including Junee Shire).

 

The Community Action Training Program runs from August to December 2025 and includes: 

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Person-Centered Emergency Preparedness
  • Lateral Violence Training
  • Participatory Community Building workshop

Sessions will be held in Wagga Wagga, Uranquinty, and Oura. 

 

The training is targeted for volunteers, however if you wish to join the training in your professional capacity (eg: you are being paid by your employer to attend) please select the professional ticket at the checkout.

 

The Community Action Training Program is proudly hosted by Wagga Wagga City Council and is funded as part of the  Supporting Spontaneous Volunteers Program – a NSW Government initiative.
