Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

School Concert

Well, what a HUGE week for students, families and staff of Ballarat North Primary School! Our Booktastic Adventure at Her Maj was a raging success – I’m sure you will agree. Thank you to those parents and families who not only came along to see all the classes perform, but also to those parents/carers who volunteered time to support the students and staff with backstage supervision and all-round help. It is greatly appreciated. The staff and students put in so much effort and energy to make these concerts come together. A special thank you to Mrs Carmen Morris and our fabulous Performing Arts Captains – Dylan, Oliver, Mia and Kaitlin – for tying everything together so smoothly and enthusiastically across the two days.

Sport Success

Last week our school basketball teams had great success at the Division Basketball tournament. One of the teams has progressed to the Regional level competition later in the year. Well done to each of the students involved in this – from all reports our students carried themselves with great pride and represented the school so well. On the back of the basketball success, our football team this week heads to Bundoora for the State Football Competition. Stay tuned for updates (weather pending of course!)

Lastly, this week we farewell Mrs Emily Davey who heads off on maternity leave. I know the students and families of 3/4D are sad to see Emily leaving but are so excited for Mrs Davey’s next adventure becoming a Mum and look forward to lots of photos and stories being shared. Mr Ryan Luke joined the staff this week, spending the last three days with Emily and 3/4D; he will be taking the reigns for the remainder of the year – welcome Mr Luke!

Until I see you in person,

David Garner

Principal
