Dear Parents and Carers,
Celebrating Catholic Schools' Week
We have had a truly fabulous Catholic Schools' Week at St Michael’s. This year, schools across the Diocese of Armidale are focusing on the wonderful theme, 'Our Hope-Filled Future.' At St Michael's, this week was all about celebrating our incredible young people. We want to extend a huge thank you to our students for everything they contribute to our school and the wider parish community.
On behalf of the entire staff, I would also like to personally thank you—our parents and families—for your continued partnership, trust and support. Together, we are helping your children realise their bright, hope-filled futures. Every day is a new learning opportunity and we can't wait to see what their future holds.
Shining Bright at the Deanery Mass
With the transition to winter uniform now complete, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to our parents and carers. The students look incredibly smart, and we appreciate your ongoing support in maintaining our high uniform standards.
A special mention goes to our student leaders - Alice, Miller and Georgia who attended the Deanery Mass at St Nicholas Church in Tamworth on Tuesday, accompanied by Sienna from our Kindergarten class. The children were wonderful ambassadors for St Michael's Manilla, receiving high praise from members of the Tamworth community for their impeccable presentation and respectful manner. The children wore their uniforms with pride and represented us beautifully. They looked incredibly dapper and it was an absolute privilege for myself and Miss Cronin to accompany them as they represented our school with distinction.
Semester One Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews
Over the coming weeks, our teaching staff will be busy completing Semester One Reports for all students Kindergarten to Year 6. These reports offer a valuable snapshot of your child's academic progress to date.
Please note the following key dates:
Interview bookings will be made through Compass and we will notify you as soon as the booking portal opens.
Please remember that our teachers are available at any time throughout the year to discuss your child's progress. If you ever wish to discuss any aspect of your child's schooling, please contact the front office to schedule an appointment with the appropriate member of staff.
A Refreshing End to the Week
It has been absolutely wonderful to finally receive some much needed rainfall over the past couple of days. Hopefully, we will continue to see a few more drops heading into the weekend. It is truly amazing how quickly the grass on our playground has greened up already.
Take care and enjoy a fabulous weekend ahead. Also, be sure to head over to our Facebook page to check out all the wonderful highlights from our Catholic Schools' Week celebrations!
All the best,
Bronwyn
