Learning Power Award Recipients

Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for demonstrating one or more of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

On Monday, during our whole-school assembly, the following students were acknowledged, and their learning was described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

Aria 

For your motivation and wonderful classroom spirit, as you always bring so much positivity to our room. You are incredibly kind and helpful to your peers and always step up to support them whenever they need a hand. You show a true drive to grow your learning by consistently working hard on your goals, and you demonstrate great focus while doing so. Well done, Aria! You should feel very proud of your efforts.

Ritanya

For being a motivated learner who puts in 100% and a little bit more every day! You are drawing beautifully detailed pictures and taking brave writing risks to sound out words and write your own letters. Your independent effort is amazing. Well done Ritanya, keep it up!

For showing resilience by making a genuine effort to stay focused and give your best during learning. You are beginning to approach your tasks with greater determination and are showing a willingness to keep trying, even when the work feels challenging. For being a collaborative learner. This week, you consistently showed what it means to be a kind, supportive and inclusive classmate. You are a wonderful example of what a good friend looks like and sounds like, always treating others with respect and listening to different ideas. Your willingness to help others, work as part of a team, and make everyone feel valued creates a positive learning environment for our whole class. Thank you, Liyana!

For being a learner who consistently demonstrates resilience in the classroom. You stay focused during learning tasks, always try your best, and never give up when you face challenges. You are willing to ask for help when needed, work through problems step by step, and then apply your learning independently.

Your resilience is also evident in your writing, where you show great effort and determination to improve your work. We are very proud of your perseverance and positive attitude towards learning.

For being a motivated learner during our Fing novel study this week. You enthusiastically engaged in our read alouds and discussions. During our response tasks, you set a fantastic example of what it looks like to drive your learning by applying feedback to uplevel your response. Excellent effort Elsie!

What a fantastic start to the term you have had! You have come to school each day showing me your best and a little bit more.
