Hello!

St. Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful families who have generously supported the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Your donations will help provide essential items to those in need within our local community during the colder months. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by our school community. If you are still wishing to contribute, the final day to drop off donations at school will be this Monday. Thank you for helping us put our faith into action and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Message from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). MACS is pleased to share an invitation for parents and carers to attend a special online workshop presented by Fr Stephen Wang on Wednesday 19 August 2026 at 7:00pm. The session, Accompaniment and Conversion: Walking with our Children Toward Christ, will explore practical ways families can support and nurture their children’s faith journey. Fr Stephen, a priest from the Diocese of Westminster (UK) and creator of the internationally recognised Sycamore programme, is known for his engaging and accessible approach to sharing the Catholic faith. Whether your children are just beginning their faith journey or asking deeper questions, this enriching session may provide inspiration, encouragement, and practical tools for parents. Families can join online using the following link: https://shorturl.at/02j66 or follow the qr code on the brochure attached.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday 21st of June

Family Connection

It is not only individuals who need reassurance about God’s love and protection; communities also need this reassurance, including families. Children often rely on the confidence of their parents for this assurance. Parents can support the whole family’s growth in trust and confidence in God by showing ways in which family needs are entrusted to God’s care.

  • As the family gathers, distribute pieces of paper to each person.
  • Invite everyone to write or draw ways in which they believe God’s help is needed for themselves and for the family as a whole. These slips of paper can then be collected in a basket.
  • Together, reflect on how well God knows your family and take a moment to thank God for this gift.

Family Discussion

  • What helps you feel safe and loved when you are worried or unsure?
  • How can we remind each other that God is always with us?
  • What are some of the things our family can trust God with this week?
  • How can we show trust in God through our actions at home and at school?

Family Prayer

Conclude by praying together for each of the needs written on the slips of paper. After each need is read, pray together: “God, we trust you because you know us so well.”

You may also like to finish by praying the Glory Be.
