From the Principal

Dear families,
We are all excited to celebrate St Thomas More Feast Day tomorrow. The day will not run as a normal school day. In the morning (9am) the students and staff will attend Mass in the Parish Church, in the middle session the students will explore the stalls of Thommies Market and the students will have some funs with games and some free time in the afternoon. Students are welcome to wear free dress. We ask that students each bring a gold coin donation if wearing free dress, this money will be donated to Project Compassion.
Just a note for parents as we approach the end of Term 2:
- Term 2 will conclude at 3:10pm on Friday 26th of June.
- Term 3 will begin on Monday 13th of July.
Green and Gold Day:
On Friday, 26th of June (last day of Term), we are holding a Green and Gold day in support of our Socceroos who are currently representing our nation at the FIFA World Cup. Students are invited to wear Green and Gold and will have the chance to watch the Socceroos group game VS Paraguay at 12:00pm.
Semester 1 Reports:
Reports will be sent home via the nForma Parent Portal on Thursday next week. If you have any questions or concerns with your child's report, please raise them with your child's classroom teacher.
Trivia Night:
Assemblies in Term 3:
Just a note that we will not be running school assesmblies in Term 3. With our school swimming program falling on Monday's it makes re-scheduling challenging. We are hopeful to have our school PODCAST in place by the start of Term 3.
Lighthouse Expo:
On the evening of Thursday 11th of June Mr Mc, Mrs Jones and Mrs Munro attended the Lighthouse Expo Night at St Jospeh's College, Ferntree Gully. It was a wonderful evening as we celebrated the program which involves mentors from St Joe's coming to our school and creating a project with our students which centres around improving the Literacy skills of young men. The St Thomas More students created 3 different science experiments which the parents and students enjoyed experimenting with on the night.
Well done to the Year 6 boys at STM and their St Jospeh's mentors. A great program which continues to build partnerships with our one of our local Catholic Secondary Schools.
