Welcome back
I hope everyone had a relaxing break and that students are ready for another great term ahead. I am looking forward to continuing our literacy journey this term, with a focus on continuing to develop reading comprehension, writing skills, and spelling knowledge.
Scholastic Book Club Issue 5
Book Club Issue 5has arrived with a fresh new look, offers that give back to families, and a selection of affordable, high quality books.
There are 163 titles priced at $10 or under, including 91 books discounted by 50% or more. Please check your child’s bag for the new catalogue and take a look at the latest offers available.
Orders can be completed online through Scholastic Book Club, making it easy to browse and order books. Catalogues have also been sent home. Please keep an eye out for the catalogue in your child’s schoolbag.
CLOSING date for issue 5 is the 31st of July.

The Victoria Premiers’ Reading Challenge
Don’t forget that the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is still underway, and there is still time for students to get involved. It’s a wonderful opportunity to continue building regular reading habits and discover new books.
Every book counts, so it’s not too late to join in. I would love to see even more students taking part and helping us continue to grow our reading total.
Congratulations to our St Fidelis students, who have read an amazing 1,404 books since the beginning of the Challenge!
